First down day....

... Due to rain unfortunately, and the fact that Whistler is full of Americans right now for their Thanksgiving so the lifts are very busy. I hope this is not a taste of what to expect for the season, i.e. a week of snow followed by rain, turning the snow to slush and making the rivers flow like it is spring time. We got around 160 cm in a week, but due to rain last night and today, we have probably lost about half of it. Luckily it is still snowing in the Alpine, the freezing levels are supposed to drop again and it is supposed to cool down this week so hopefully that will dry out the snow a little, and with the cool down, we will hopefully get another week of snowfall! Well...lets hope so!!!!!!

Anyway, here are a couple of pics of Opening day, a few shots of views from the peak to peak on the first clear day we have had..... and some photos of my sweet new snowboard!

Sweet views from a cat track on opening day. This was around the time I lost everyone and decided to call it a day. The end of a great opening day in Whistler, although still pretty gutted Kerri could not be there to enjoy it with me.

The way down....Opening day.

Views from the Peak to Peak on the first clear bluebird day of the season.

Peak to Peak views continue.

Winter is officially in Whistler, opening day tomorrow.

Here are some photos of the last 24 hours here in Whistler, a pretty impressive amount of snow fall. The stoke levels are particularly high in the Millan house hold today.
